Disneyland can be a surprisingly inexpensive option if you don't have travel expenses to get there in the first place. When we lived in San Diego we had passes and we'd go up just to have dinner sometimes (not for the food, because, well, there's only so much French Market clam chowder or Tomorrowland Terrace cheeseburger this guy can take). It's nice to just BE there, sometimes. I can't explain it; and no one except someone who has had the familiarity with the park that a pass breeds can ever really understand that....relaxed...feeling of walking through those entrance tunnels into Main Street.
You're so lucky to have Disneyland so close.
For us, it's a couple thousand bucks minimum once you add up airfare, hotels, food, etc.
Perhaps you could sneak me into Disneyland. I could walk on my knees and pretend to be Zane or something.

OK, so maybe I am not the most romantic type in the world, but I will say that for Father's Day (or my anniversary), I would LOVE to just have a great day with the family like this. It is a better present than anything that can be found in a store or restaurant.
Oh sure... if you said it in the card(s)... that suffices... totally... 
Backpacking Dad- Exactly. We'll go there and only ride a few rides all day. We just take our time and stroll through, it takes it from hectic and frustrating to incredibly relaxing and fun.
Phil- let me know next you go, I'll meet you there and save you ten bucks on parking!

Happy Anniversary. Look at it this way: At least they fell on the same day this year for you. You get to wrap it all up in one day. My anniversary is on the 23rd. That is two events to plan for in just under two weeks.
I get have to scramble at the last minute twice to make a decent showing. Oh yeah, and we are now strapped for cash so add that to the pulling a rabbit out of my ass scenario. Oh yeah, and did I mention the crappy weather? Disneyland close by would be very nice indeed.

Big Brother, you need to be more vocal with Tricia. Women love to hear the words "I love you", I know they are only words, but they can put an instant smile on our faces when we're feeling down, or lift our spirits higher than they already were.
