Very well said Whit. I, like you, didn't follow the 'get older and more conservative' model, but the just the opposite. The more I read and question, the more my previous views do not add up with who I am today and who I want my child to grow into.

Regarding your journey, so many changes occur in life from the time we enter adulthood with a naive perspective until we finally find ourselves. It's unfortunate that so many don't get to go through it and continue on a path mapped by others and embracing the status quo.
It's funny how we start out on one path, suspect we are going the wrong way, back track and realize that we were right in that we were wrong.

I lost mine in St. Patricks Cathedral when I was 16. I believe I was listening to the Door - Light my Fire. It was either my religion or maybe my virginity. I can't remember but I'm sure I lost them both. I just can't remember where. I do like some good whiskey. I make my own now.
