UGH - I hate bronchitis. I had it once and it was no fun. Although I am still amazed at the huge balls of nasty I managed to cough up!
BTW - You are complete and pure evil. I had a feeling I was going to get the Valentines package from you today. So I was really excited to see it on the doorstep. I ran right in to open it up - so happy for my bit of cheer when I've been stuck at home all week with a sick Princess Ariel - but what did I see just as I was about to tear into that pacheage?? DO NOT OPEN UNTIL VALENTINES DAY!!!!
She's evil folks - pure evil.

What fun! I saw that show and thought it looked a bit scary to have 10 DPN's going at the same time though!

Holy crap Whit, those are great! I'm totally fowarding your link to Tina so she can see what you've done. She'll be so proud.
It's awesome to know that people are actually trying the shoe thing. As awesome as that episode topic was, we thought people might be too intimidated to do it themselves.
I'm actually doing a pair od Prada inspired crocheted sandals for my next book--prehaps you should do some boots for me! I asked Tina if she would, but she doesn't crochet. Just a thought...
Crafty kisses,
Vickie

You are doing a great job of making those all yours. How creative!
I finally found some quiet time to listen to your last podcasts. They were great! You get better and better each time you do them. You included many interesting things in them. Someday I'll learn how to download them to an ipod.

I hope you are feeling better!
My bf walked into the living room when I was watching that episode and he is now convinced that we knitters, collectively, are insane. ;o)
But what the hell does he know anyway, he's not a knitter *grin*

Ooooo, what a fun twist on the pattern. I like the way the holes of the crochet look on the boot! Did I read right, you're going to make them knee-height? Can't wait to see the finished boots!

LOVE these! i have been soooo tempted to crochet mine as well... i'm going to giving the knitting a go, but if it doesn't work out, i'll definitely be giving this job to my hooks!

What a great solution to combine crochet and knitting for this project! I imagine it's much easier to crochet around the shoe, and the knitting will provide needed elasticity at the top of the boot. I will definitely keep this in mind if I ever make these.
