I'm really impressed with the double socks. I have to try it. I remember doing it to make doubled mitts, but it's going to take me a bit of work to catch up with you. I'm glad that I read your blog at this particular moment.

You are a genius and my hero. Can I come sit at your feet to learn this technique?
I read the instructions and they befuddled my pretty little head. So until I have someone to hold my hand, guide my stitches and tutor me....I will not get to knit like a Tolstoy character...or even like Whit!

oh my god, you are totally insane for even attempting this! and so am I because I totally want to try this method out. I LOVE my dpns and this sounds like a fun challenge. i have a lot on my plate knitting-wise but i definetely plan on casting on for these in the very near future. thanks for the inspiration, whit!
and btw, i love, love, LOVE your podcast. keep up the great work!
