Isn't that weird that I was asking about mitred squares just as you were working on this bag? I totally think there is some knit-blog synchronicity thing going on sometimes.
I'm going to get that Rowan book you linked to - cos it has some cute jackety things as well as the squares. My name is Stephanie and I am a jacketaholic. It's been a two weeks since my last jacket pattern....

I just picked up a book (200 knitted blocks, I think it's called) and the mitered squares piqued my interest. I may have to road test a few of those first, and see how it goes.
Whit is making this bag for me to give to my friend who has a bag fetish (I think that's how you spell it) however I'm very excited to see the look on my friends face when she see's it tomorrow.
And of course Whit does a great job at everything she does. I might be able to help her with the picture problem.
