Excellent!

My Constituency Organiser didn't want me to do it because he couldn't see the point.

This shows the lack of awareness we are up against in politics in this country at the moment. The political class, with it's great intellect and access to technology, should be among the first to see the potential of the web, and to realise how it relates to e-democracy. Politicians and their staff should be leading the way, encouraging citizen involvement using the fantastic new tools that the internet has given us. Instead, they are being reluctantly dragged into the 21st century, and some even now refuse to acknowledge or understand how ubiquitous the web is, and how integral it will be to all aspects of life in just a few years.

If I were an MP, I would be so excited and delighted to have this opportunity to communicate with constituents, and to disseminate my position on the issues. I can't understand why so few have taken it up.
