I seem to be blitzing your comments a bit, but hey, it's not often you get to read a good blog by an MP. (I wonder why more people aren't commenting - perhaps you could advertise your blog in your constituency, if you haven't already done so.)

Anyway, re stations...they aren't all bad. One of the worst, at which I have spent many a chilly hour, is Peterborough. So outdated and unfunctional. I think Norwich is supposed to be good now (I haven't been since a major redevelopment). It won an award for station of the year.

Anyway, as an MP, isn't it a good example to use public transport (and to fight for better of course)?


The refurbished Manchester Piccadilly is a glorious place to wait around in. It's like a winter gardens.
