Talking of your daughter's taste in music - as you were - and as you have "responsibility" for "older" people, where's a little bit of praise for Steve Brookstein (erm - is 36 old?)? We heard so much about G4 and Gemma's suppoort for them (understandable) but, don't you think Sharon "Anotherredhead" Osbourne's outburst gained Steve even more sympathy votes? I know that normally I wouldn't have bothered to pick up the 'phone - but I did when she squawked.

Afraid I am a G4 fan but I haven't seen the final yet (son forgot to record although he has since recorded the repeat). That said my mother (72) expressed exactly the same view that you have inasmuch as Sharon Osbourne's views may have galvanised people to pick up the phone and vote for Steve. I don't hink he can be regarded as an older person though!

oy - and leave us redheads alone - it is a complete myth that we are all gobby hotheads!

Don't get me started on what I think of Steve - but yes even Sharon has acknowledged that what she did probably encouraged other people to pick up the phone and vote.
Still think the boys were bloomin' marvellous.
