I saw the first programme and wondered why the producers said so little about what support the winner would get. I suspected it was because they might not want to support the winner and I guess that is exactly the case.

Don't be depressed. I don't think a majority of people supported his views - they're unsupportable. I think he was just the more interesting if less likable characters. A bit like Kelvin McKenzie.

Having not seen any of it, but did they give the number of people who voted for these selections or just percentages? Because getting a majority of the people who can be bothered to watch late night ITV and be capable of having an opinion other than 'must sleep now' can't actually be that difficult, especially if you have a large family.
