Do you think that the Human Rights Act now brings the state into disrepute? Much of this problem has come from Ireland who have clamped down on their native travellers. The answer is to repeal this diasterous piece of EU motivated legislation and make the travellers go back to where they came from.

Thank goodness you torys lost the election. The labour pary should set up compulsory political and educational rehabilitation camps for people with attitudes like yours. Hopefully the likes of your kind will never get back into power in our country. No wonder you tories are despised so much.

Without being so obnoxious as you like to be at times, what is your solution Mr S?

Sandra you are wrong to state that "Hampshire County Council closed down the dedicated site". I went onto Hantsweb and found 4 sites listed. I then spoke to the Council Officer concerned who confirmed that there are 4 permanant sites run by the County. Please check your facts, or ask your Lib Dem Councillors to stay awake in Committe meetings.

Oi Clive, the Human Hights Act has got bugger all to do with the EU, what are you rambling on about you mad old Tory badger?

The tory problem in this country is much bigger than anything the travelers could cause. The welsh and scots are lucky what few tories are left there are kept under strict political control.
We should adopt a more radical approach in finding a solution to deal with the tories in England.

Even if the subject was the price of cornflakes,mr sowerby would manage to attack the dominant political party of the 20th century.Perhaps political hatred should be added to the Racial and Religious Hatred Bill.It is equally warped.

Wessex Chap....the Human Rights Act was implemented in the first place from Brussels and then written into national law. Before you get offensive, get your facts right. I say again, it has been a disasterous piece of legislation that is bringing both state and society into disrepute.

Not sure who Peter B is but the excuse the police give for not moving people on is the lack of a site. Am in the process of getting something in writing because everyone appears to be saying something different about all this and the whole thing is as clear as mud.

Clive, get YOUR facts straight. I ahev an LL.B degree in law and spent two years studying EU law, I am telling you as a fact that the European Convention on Human Rights which preceeded the HR Act was nothing to do with the European Union and was most certainly not implemented 'from Brussels'. Do your homework old thing.

Yes, I am aware that I made a number of typos in my nhasty last post, before you try and use it to divert from the fact that you are talking ill-informed drivel...

You have an LLB. Well, bully for you little swathead! Like I really do give a damn.

The point was that you are totally ignorant in the matter, and should avoid 'correcting' people when you have no grounding in the subject yourself, and are guessing based on what you managed to make out from the Daily Mail after the dog had finished with it.

Why then don't you join the gravy train if you are so clever. You don't know me so don't make assumptions. I know enough, having studied politics, to understand just how angry people are by all the political correctness and shambolic leadership there is now from our politicians. Its very difficult to express one's own views without the risk of possibly upsetting someone else. If you don't like it then it's just plain tough.

Wow, you managed to fit 'gravy train' and 'politicial correctness' into one post, but you didn't manage to fit in that you were wrong.

Ok, what is your answer to the problem? What would you do?

By putting clive and the rest of his tory stooges into a political lunatic asylum they would be singing The red flag in no time.

Peter Sowerby...a man who is all talk but totally useless when it comes to a serious debate. No wonder we are being governed by a load of complete incompetants.

Tory boy you fought the local and general election on a racist platform in the belief your racist bigotry would win it for you.
The british people will never let you back into power again.

No it was not. It was fought on fact. You lot rigged the election and twisted it to your own ends. I thought there was going to be a debate on postal voting. Haven't seen it yet.

When I read Mr Sowerby's anti-Tory rants I sometimes wonder if universal adult suffrage is a good thing...
