Do you think that the Human Rights Act now brings the state into disrepute? Much of this problem has come from Ireland who have clamped down on their native travellers. The answer is to repeal this diasterous piece of EU motivated legislation and make the travellers go back to where they came from. |

Sandra you are wrong to state that "Hampshire County Council closed down the dedicated site". I went onto Hantsweb and found 4 sites listed. I then spoke to the Council Officer concerned who confirmed that there are 4 permanant sites run by the County. Please check your facts, or ask your Lib Dem Councillors to stay awake in Committe meetings. |

Wessex Chap....the Human Rights Act was implemented in the first place from Brussels and then written into national law. Before you get offensive, get your facts right. I say again, it has been a disasterous piece of legislation that is bringing both state and society into disrepute. |

Not sure who Peter B is but the excuse the police give for not moving people on is the lack of a site. Am in the process of getting something in writing because everyone appears to be saying something different about all this and the whole thing is as clear as mud. |

Clive, get YOUR facts straight. I ahev an LL.B degree in law and spent two years studying EU law, I am telling you as a fact that the European Convention on Human Rights which preceeded the HR Act was nothing to do with the European Union and was most certainly not implemented 'from Brussels'. Do your homework old thing. |

The point was that you are totally ignorant in the matter, and should avoid 'correcting' people when you have no grounding in the subject yourself, and are guessing based on what you managed to make out from the Daily Mail after the dog had finished with it. |

Why then don't you join the gravy train if you are so clever. You don't know me so don't make assumptions. I know enough, having studied politics, to understand just how angry people are by all the political correctness and shambolic leadership there is now from our politicians. Its very difficult to express one's own views without the risk of possibly upsetting someone else. If you don't like it then it's just plain tough. |
