Its good to see that the local MPs are united on this issue and interesting that its a LibDem and Conservative alliance against Labour govt miss-management.

The Trusts seem caught between a set of Labour Govt inspired operating targets and procedures that force them to hire contract staff which are at higher pay rates than the funding provides for.

If only the Labour govt would allow the Trusts to set higher "local" wages then more directly hired staff would come into the area and the contract bill would be radically cut back.
