To be honest, it strikes me as a sound policy, regardless of the slogan. Can you imagine what the SOTU gallery would look like if attendees were allowed to wear slogans on their persons?

I think what happened here was an example of the government trying to state out of trouble. Cindy Sheehan was ejected for her T-shirt. (Good thing, I expected her to scream out in the middle like a raving loony.) Unfortunately, this can end up hurting other people who aren't being disruptive in the attempt to be fair. The rules should have been clear before the speech.

It's very disappointing that someone who obviously is very supportive of our soldiers and Bush was censored that way. But I'm not surprised in the least that it happened. The PC crowd wouldn't have it any other way.
