Dude -- you are way behind the times.

My colleagues here in Texas include a pair of Canadians teaching World History, a Couple of Mexicans and a Spaniard teaching Spanish, an a Filipino and a West Indian teaching Math, and a Filipina teaching biology (she was let go at year's end because she could not control her students). And that is just on my campus of 120 teachers. All but one of them were recruited internationally by my district, which sends representatives to Canada and Mexico for job fairs, as well as contracting with foreign placement services.
