Betsy King chose the top 12 US born LPGA member golfers on the Rolex ranking. I think she did an excellent job. I was hoping for Christina Kim to be on the team, but she didn't make it. Christina Kim has already said that she will qualify for the next team, "the old fashioned way". I think if Kim had been ranked 11th she would have been chosen for the team. Christina brought great enthusiasm to the 2005 team. I believe anyone who is out of the top 12 in rankings shouldn't expect to be on the team. Michelle Wie is not a member of the LPGA and Dorothy Delasin is ranked 150th. Why would a captain choose someone who isn't in the top of the rankings? The captain's pick played excellent in Halmstad. I was there. I would have chosen them for my team.
