We got a Bosch washer and dryer when we built our house six years ago because our contractor screwed up and made our laundry too small for the top-load set we already owned. Glad to hear we got a good brand! (We really didn't have much choice; there were only two foreign - expensive - makes that would fit the botched space!)

We buy our products at Best Buy. We like their grace period of "no interest" if you get the account paid off in a certain amount of time.

We got a Samsung HDTV and dvd player at Thanksgiving. When it comes time to get another television Hubby is certain it will be a Samsung.

Yeah, Sears products are hit and miss... you almost need to buy their extended warranty plans. Our washer broke 4 times in the past 4 years!

Oh, I'm so sorry you've had such a miserable experience with Sears. our dishwasher is from Sears and doing well, but it's not very old either. Here's hoping.
