Ah,the joys of printers. Last year when I replaced my computer I was introduced to the Canon line of printers. They are "wonderful" in my estimation. The trickle down affect has occurred. Recently, I got a Canon brand fax,copier,scanner,printer. Love it...and Hubby loves the other one - took it to work.
Isn't it annoying when the printer goes and you have excess cartridges and they cost so much! I have a canon at home which has been going real well for the last couple of years but it is a laser printer and so it is black and white. The color lasers are so expensive. I have HP at work and yeah it's been doing well too.
The cartridges cost more than the printers half the time! Dee and CD, the Canons sound good.

I completely hate ink jet printers. At home I invest in a new cheapo printer when the ink runs out as most often it cost less. Perhaps one day I will learn how to actually change a printer cartridge.

I absolutely hate inkjets also. Half of your ink actually gets wasted into these things called the ink collecting area or something.
If you ever open your printer up you'll see a LOT LOT of ink
This is not an easy fix. You can refill print cartridges...but boy can it get messy the first few times.
...and if you do it different than the manufacturer says...yikes! Just make sure you follow the directions. Sounds like you made your own on this one.

Printers are so cheap, and cartridges so expensive, that the last two times I ran out of ink it was CHEAPER for me to buy a new printer. Crazy.
