if she did in fact show them "the tape", I also give her kudos, cause if she didn't show it to them, they would have seen it somewhere else, and probably been terribly embarrassed...even though its quite disturbing, I think she did a good thing.

umm cypress (11:39) well you do make a valid point about not showing your children the tape, it is most definatly NOT personal and private, half the world has seen the tape, and slickidoo is right, even if she did show them, that is better than them seeing it elsewhere, they are about to be teenagers, they are bound to see porno, and who thinks porno without thinking pam anderson, half the XXX emails and commercials feature her. the kids would rather their mom tell them about it than a pop up on the internet. can you imagine?

...not saying that I would ever put myself in such a situation, but I think if it were inevitable(which it is) that my kids were gonna see something like that with me in it, I'd rather be the one to show them...sure they're gonna be scarred, but not nearly as much as they would be if they went to their friends house, and got into their mom & dad's porn and then: "Hey!! Isn't that your parents?!"
That would be beyond mortifying...at least this way they're sort of prepared.

Slickiedoo, I hear what you're saying...if something like this ever happened to me, and it was inevitable that my kid would find out, I'd probably bite the bullet and be the one to tell him about it rather than have one of his friends be like "hey, your mom's boobs sagged after you were born, wanna see?"

Better she told the kids than had them find out on their own. Now there is a Mama that has nothing to hid and her kids will respect her later on in life.

The one thing nobody has touched on; I find it hard to believe she would force it upon the kids. I would hope (and guess/assume) that she gave them the option to watch it.
If that's the case, then kudo's to Pam. If they chose yes, then scarred or not, they were given a choice. If they said no, then at least when they see it elsewhere, it doesn't catch them completely off gaurd.
Yeah, I get what everyone is saying, it's better Pam be open & honest with her kids now instead of finding out through friends Which they would; I've got a 15 yr old, their minds are pretty much on one thing .But I do have to cringe at the thought.
Even though I'd hate to see a sex tape featuring my parents, I agree with Slickiedoo on this one. It's out there and can't be avoided. They're bound to see it one day. And we don't know if she just showed them an edited version.
I knew there were actual intelligent commenters in here...they just don't have time to play at work like I do 
i agree, Pam was beign responsible showing them. She seems like a great mum, and i think her honesty with her kids is a credit to that.
