As someone who works in this industry, I have never felt the need to reply to the people on this page. However, America is a talented and beautiful young woman who is breaking the mold in Hollywood.
I am certain that if any of you walked into my office, I would have to send you away due to lack of talent.
Instead of remarking on the looks of celebs, how about remarking on their talent. America plays a character who is not super-thin and runway ready-that is the beauty of the show.

You know America is very talented and she is breaking the "you have to be thin to be a actress mold' which makes me happy. she is giving young girls the confidence to feel good about themselves no matter what they look like. all woman and girls come in all different shapes and sized. it is time to accept that not every girl has to be size 0-4 to be attractive.

Ok, so those body shots aren't at particularly flattering angles for America; the shadow of her arm raised at the elbow makes her look like she has pit stains and her spanx are showing, her upper calf is pressed against the chair in an unappealing way; but since when is every photograph supposed to be representative of an entire person? The average woman in America is not a size 2, and it wouldn't be healthy if that were so. Meanwhile, there needs to be equal representation of every sort of person and every sort of body in the media. Right now I don't live in the United States so I haven't been able to see Ugly Betty but America has more than just that show in her repertoire, and if she's a good actress then what does it matter if her idea of a full meal actually has calories in it? I would prefer that young girls today have the opportunity to see a full-figured woman on tv instead of seeing only sticks with boobs. Those of you who see only a "fat chick" obviously have not seen someone who is truly overweight, nor are you familiar with the growing American problem of anorexia and bulimia exasperated by an underrepresentation in the media of women with fuller figures, or more realistic proportions. I think a nation of young women starving themselves is a bigger problem than the size of America Ferrera's thighs.
