What the Beautiful People Say

Gravatar In the words of the immortal Bluto Blutarsky, " my advice to you, is to start drinking heavily"

Gravatar On your deathbed you will receive total consciousness. So you've got that going for you.

Gravatar Good advice IB! I am going to take it starting tonight!

Gravatar This is what happens, to me, when school starts..

Fall-Behind!

You are doing well if you are doing 50%. That is your 100% right now. Readjust expectation.

Tomorrow is another day, to try again.

~Heidi

Gravatar Chin up girl. We all get in messed up ruts but it will end

Gravatar (((Petra)))

Gravatar So often when we are in high gear we tend to get sick. I agree with Heidi-- readjust your expectations. Before you know it you'll be back on top of things and back to your normal more productive self.

Gravatar Thank you everyone. Your words mean a lot to me. I am already feeling more optimistic and ready to get out of this rut!

{{{{HUGS!!!}}}

Gravatar I know where you're coming from. I feel like I'm getting pulled a hundred different ways right now and everything I do looks like I'm thinking about doing something else.

Meh.

Gravatar It'll be okay. That's my mantra.

Gravatar I have some organizational books that I don't use anymore ... time management and such ... I'd send them to you if you'd like.

I'm sure they work ... I just never read them. Tee hee!

Good luck girl!

Gravatar Aw, hon. Hugs. We all go through times of sucking at life. I've recently been tossing around a theory that it has something to do with becoming parents. I was fucking AWESOME before I was someone's Mom.

Gravatar If it helps any, please know you're not alone in feeling the way you do. I feel like these thoughts are forever swirling around my head. Then last week, I lost a best friend at a young age, and I thought, "Wow. Is this how I want to spend my time? Not enjoying? Not being present? Not focusing?" Then I vowed to change my mindset. I slipped back into it within three days. I don't want to slip back in. Well, I don't want to slip all the way back in, anyway.

I guess what I'm saying is every day is a chance to start over. Hell, every hour is a chance to start over. Please don't beat yourself up, hun.

Gravatar don't stress, we all go through it.

Gravatar If it makes you feel any better, know that you are not alone in feeling overwhelmed and underachieving! You'll get through it!

And that costume is excellent!

Gravatar I could not have put it better than you. Feeling so blah lately & seem to blame it on everything from season changes to periods to boredom! Just when I seem to "catch up" I get tossed back about 10 steps. It's Saturday, my day off, after 4 p.m., and I've done a whole lot of nothing to be productive today. Now sets in the anger for letting an entire day go to waste. Let's have a drink, shall we?!?!?

Gravatar I am sorry you are in such a rut. I think it's also the time of year... it happens to the best of us.

Gravatar Oh, my poor Petra! I feel your "suck at life" pain! I have been negligent in the blogosphere lately myself. Just moved to a new site and my life is so hectic I feel like I can't breathe - you too? Well, at least we're not alone! Promise to come back by and visit more! FYI: not sure if my old blog button works, so feel free to grab a new (http://parentingpink.com/about/get-your-button/).

Btw, I am so proud of you for writing a book! I know you feel "lost" right now, but you'll get your groove back - promise!

Gravatar You don't suck at life. Don't worry about our sites. We will still be here. Shut down, press reset. Chill for a bit.

Gravatar I left a little something for you on my blog!

Gravatar Take two cabana boys and call me in the morning.

Gravatar Is there a support group? "ISAL" - or maybe "I-SALIVATE" (I Suck At Life In Vibrant And Trivial Endeavors)? Seems like the second variation might be easier to market, though you might get a few stragglers. But hey, they could be good for a tale or two.

Sucking at life goes with motherhood in all variations. Of course, we don't actually suck (ask anyone, but us) - we just think we suck because we think we should be superwomen. And hey - if I still looked good in spandex, I believe that would be just the ticket to my super powers returning.

(Did you realize that the "S" on super figure costumes actually stands for Suck?)

It's the weekend (almost). That means you can still suck but worry about it just a little less.
