I think you overstate the military aspects of facism. Many Latin governments are in essence facist since the government controls the economy as overtly as did Hitler's Germany, in fact when considers how the US government controls over half the economy today directly and exercises indirect control over the remainder I think you'd better re-examine your definitions.

I don't know which definitions you mean, but in no way does the US government control the economy in the sense imagined by Fascism, or to the extent that Nazi Germany did. The government does not direct industrial production, draft labor battalions, or set wages and consumer prices.

Great essay, dude. Laurence W. Britt is a pseudo-intellectual clown. He is unable to distinguish the superficial characteristics of an evil philosophy from the essential elements which make it evil.
Aside from the obvious brutality, fascism, like communism and all forms of tyranny are wicked because they deprive the individual of freedom. Freedom is vital because it allows each person to exercise free will; free will is what separates humanity from the rest of creation, and allows each individual to reach his full potential.
Only Free Enterprise ("Capitalism") is in harmony with human nature. Only an amoral fool like ward churchill or michael moore would mistake the decency of the United States for the horror of nazi Germany.
Reading this b.s. from britt and noam chomsky, we are reminded once again that intelligence and wisdom are leagues apart. Leftists are decadent termites gnawing away at the foundation of Western civilization, but eventually they will lose.
