Most of the time I don't believe in God. I've thought about it for decades, and the bible stories just don't make sense to me. But your story does remind me of one side of Christianity that does make sense to me.
Christians say God became a man. That makes sense to me, on some level. I don't think I could stomach listening to some perfect angel, arrogant in his ignorance of what life is like for us.
