The Anti-Choice legions have risen in anguish, complaining that a few cells are life. Well, cry me a freaking river. It's about time you gelatinous religious zealots learned to paddle your own canoe. If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. Don't use the United States Constitution as an artificial definer of life.

All the Anti-lynchin' legions have come a risin' in anguish, complainin' that a few negra's are really people. Well, cry me a freakin' Mississippi river. It's about time you gelatinous religious zealots learned to paddle y'alls own canoe. If ya'll don't want no lynchin', then don't hang y'alls cotton pickers. Don't use the United States Constitution as an artificial definer of life, 'cause, personally, theres nothing better than a good post-cotton-pickin' hangin'.

Since there are no words remaining in English which, when applied to American domestic politics, are not codewords for abortion, or at least for positions on abortion, it can fairly be said that the battle is _already_ being fought in the political realm. Except that as it stands now, the only thing parties seem to care about is whether the judges that their candidates will support are for it or against it. So instead of being a political issue, it's become kind of a meta-political issue.
It would be really nice to be able to have substantive conversations again, on all the OTHER issues that face our republic. I've lost all hope for "choice" ever again meaning what it's supposed to mean, but we may still be able to resucitate "privacy", and the prospects for "health care" are downright hopeful.

I agree with everything you wrote except for the idea that the court is a "once-great" institution. My understanding is that the Supreme Court has historically been mostly a repository for hacks and political appointees, a place where people like Harriet Miers were the rule rather than an unthinkable exception. So I don't think the abortion debate has weakened the quality of the court, although I agree that making the court the arbiter of abortion is a senseless idea.

Of course Roe must be overturned! the unborn have a right to life, at least for the first 18 years or so when they can be sent off to die in an unnecessary war based on lies. Another good reason Roe should be overturned is all this talk costs tax dollars which could better be used by Hallenburten. Let's all just donate a few spair coat hangers and be done with it! Then the courts can devote their time to deciding just how many people can read my Emails or listen in on my phone calls. As to local and state courts they should not be crying a river either. Much better they decide which parks will get the pillerys and which ones can display trinkets to some invisable cloud sperit. Yes; let us return to the 13th century. That will prove that their is no such thing as eveloution.
As a child of the 50s I was fortunat enough to see mankind accomplish many great things; equal rights, a trip to the moon, color Fu**ing TV (for gods sake). As an old man I may be fortunit enough to not live long enough to watch nmankind revert to the dark ages of of predigus and superstion.

Why has "man" decided it is okay to kill children, just becasue he says he needs to "de-populate" the earth. Or women who cannot care for life decide to play God because it is "their" body.
The US has aborted 54 million lives since 1973. Think about that. All in exchange for their salvation of their sins.
Go ahead women - FORNICATE ALL YOU WANT - AND MEN TOO. Then when you have to pay the piper, reach for your salvation through a vacuum cleaner.
I will talk to you soon.

When will the pro-deathers realize that abortion is anti-woman?
My state, Ohio, is proposing a statewide abortion ban, and I say good! (Note: I am a Constitution Party member and hardly a Bushbot.)
Science has PROVEN that human life begins at conception.
As far as "back-alley" abortions--If you're dumb enough to try to kill your own baby knowing it could injure you in the process, it's not the government's fault--it's YOURS. Choices come with responsibilities.
As a mother, I can't imagine killing my child in cold blood.
You tell 'em!

Is it possible in the US to have a retroactive abortion? - it's just because I was talking to Canis Iratus's mom yesterday and she is definitely game for it now if there is any possibility it could work...

After Roe v. Wade is dealt with to the neo-con's liking then they'll be after evolution and the teaching of science in classrooms. Their objective is to have total control of this nation and all of its people and create their theocracy.
