Gravatar I did come in 1975, but my parents didn't call me Armageddon. That would've been good though.

Gravatar You've become one of my favorite reads, Mark. You just never fail to surprise me.

Gravatar I read all the Leary books and those by the inventor/discoverer of LSD. Plus "Don Juan:A Yaqui Way of Knowledge" I think these drugs can be powerful teahcers. Pot, for me, is a catalyst for abstract, intuitive thinking; music, poetry, creative ideas. When used properly, very effective. Shame it's so demonized, when alchohol is more dangerous.

Thanks for reminding me of the "good old days".

Gravatar Wow man this is some heavy shit! I think I had a great time in the 70's, I just don't remember............

Gravatar tincanman, I head to read yours several times before I got it. Good one.

Pammy, there's more to come. One has to build high credibility before blowing it all to hell and hoping there's enough of a shred left for your readers to hang in there...

And garnet, it may work for you, but I will write separately at some point about pot. Frankly, I think it's at least as destructive as alcohol, but in a much more circumspect and insidious manner...

Gravatar Huh...you brought back some fuzzy memories there. I never got really good acid, though. I did enjoy shrooms though....loads of fun and, to paraphrase the new PC-version Cookie Monster, they're a "sometimes" drug. As opposed to pot...which, as you say, is indeed as dangerous as alcohol. That my escape of choice.

Gravatar In the past, I thought that pot created a "high". But, I second Mark's comment about pot's insidiousness. Pot produces just the opposite of a "high" and is very very grounding and clouding. Alcohol is the worst.
