Great post. Just yesterday when a friend asked me what I learned during the day, I proclaimed that I learned that I get what I want. I was waiting for a client to get back to me on an important document. The client received the document at 10am. I worked a couple more hours and during lunch I started to imagine taking the rest of the day off if the client gave me an ok on the document early. I worked long hours the day before and started imagining what I would do the rest of the day. I took a long leisurely lunch with my cell phone at hand. I knew that I had until midnight to get to the post office if need be, but that option became less and less attractive to me as I imagined more and more of my day off. Taking advantage of the midnight deadline meant driving to the airport post office and that would definitely cut into my evening plans which became in my imagination more and more solid. As I started to feel averse to the airport option I started putting caps on the timing of the whole thing in my imagination. The local post office closes at 5pm and that was going to be my deadline no matter what and my evening was going to be free. I did not tell anyone. The client got back to me with revisions. I started entering revisions but did not hold any attachment to the outcome. I would work as long as it takes and do a good job. I did not look at the clock. When I finished, it was 4:30. Raced to the copier and to the post office leaving it at 4:50. I got what I wanted---my evening free. I feel that if I would have imagined strongly enough my afternoon free, I would have had that as well.

Fascinating. Let me know if you have any other experiences, especially the kind that you find you can verify personally as being something other than projection or coincidence.

Yes, I have had other experiences. The aforementioned experience was personally verified but not by any method seeking repetitive results. It seems like any singular event can be considered projection and coincidence but there is personal verification of the experience by means other than physical reproducibility. For me, it's more important to trust these other means than to test by seeking reproduction of the results (which can be considered to be a lack of trust which would bring us full circle back to being able to trust the power of your imagination without testing in the first place). Trust and respect go hand-in-hand even for clouds. I generally do not seek repetition due to my lack of trust, but would seek permission beforehand to do so without karmic consequence.
