I would complain about the choice of language used for this campaign. Though I am in agreement with the general principle. I don't suspect the addition of the Scottish, NI, and Welsh players would really improve the England squad significantly.
Agreed, except point 3, where I have 3 points to make:
1. 'Northern Ireland are shit at football'...but beat England
2. 'Northern Ireland are shit at football'...but beat England
3. The other home nations will be under-represented - agreed, so whats the point in the exercise, and whats in it for the other home nations? Nothing.
John, NI did indeed beat England, you are correct. One lucky win doesn't make NI a good football team though.
I support Shrewsbury Town so I am used to failure. They have, however, had some stunning results playing Premiership teams. They're still shit though. 
The other home nations won't be under-represented, they won't be represented at all. The British team will consist mostly of English players with one or two NI players thrown in to satisfy the quotas.
no need for the language but I agree withthe statement. I am not for a GB team at all. The team would be all English except they would have to put a few token Scotch and Welsh players in for diversity and U.K reasons but that is all they would be in the team for. If a team was picked of all English , the rest of the u.k would complain. it is a crazy idea and we should never go down that road. Blair is Scotch not English.

James, it may have escaped your attention but Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can't even qualify, let alone win the world cup. What will they bring to a British team? Because of the need to make it "inclusive" with players from each home nation (biased against the English of course) we'll end up with a rubbish team.
England is full of shit in everything.

There are plenty of decent sportsmen and women from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland aswell as England(South Britain). I am happy with all four nations being represented as team GB in the olympics, just not in football. This happening is one step forward to having no seperate international teams, which is what FIFA are wanting. Scottish football fans do not hate English(South British) fans or English(South British) people in general. As far as I am concerned it's just friendly banter. From what you have on this site, I can see that you don't feel the same way about us or other home nations.
The 2012 olympics are not being held in England(South Britain). They are being held by Britain, and so fielding a team with players from all four nations.
By the way, 3 lions and a white dragon, we are not "scotch", we are Scottish..
