You dont think a little matter of 88% of people agaisnt will make any difference with this government, they will just ignore it like they did with the North East waste of space.

I was going to say what Kev said, how many opposed the NE assembly? They had a referendum as well on it!

The government dominate Parliament, they only care what people think around the time of a general election.

This is the thing that concerns me. I mean, 88%! You can't fudge that. You can't say "It's a close call, we really think this would benefit them and they don't really understand it". It's nearly 9 out of 10. I really think they will go ahead with the mreger regardless. Hopefully someone with resources will take legal action to prevent them.
