Wonko`s World

Wonko - if that had happened in Northern Ireland 10 years ago, the very next day the province would have been invaded and M1 Abram tanks from the US 88th Airborne would have been parked on the lawns of Stormont.
There are no double standards in existence as skewed as those that emanate out of the State Department in Washington. I'm old enough to remember the hoo-haw from over the pond when N.I. introduced internment..... You had tossers like Ted Kennedy amongst others from the Boston irish cabal baying about human rights..... Funny how old Ted is saying jack all about Camp Zero in Cuba innit? - I guess it's different when American lives have been snuffed out because of terrorism.
And the money collecting in bars in the north east US for Republican causes was only 'stopped' after 9/11. The British gov had been trying for years to get it outlawed - all to no avail. American courts still give political status to irish terrorists - when we have someone they want - they're gone, shipped over there faster than you can say 'stitched up'.....
But what really pissed me off after 9/11 was the way our glorious leader fell in with Bush's war on terrorism project. It's just a pity it wasn't followed with such vim and vigour 30 years ago.
