Gravatar Do you really want a replacement?

I wouldn't... it'll be nothing but hassle for the next x months/years - ie until you replace it.

If you want to cancel... speak to whoever administers this scheme at your employers (get your colleague with the other problem laptop to come with you) and cancel your contract with them.

What I don't understand is why you agreed to let them collect the laptop, rather than repair on site, as you'd paid for?

Dell (with whom I've had my own problems, now resolved to my satisfaction ie compensation money was paid to me) now guranatee that if you have an on-site warranty and they can't fix it on site, then they will get you a new laptop (apparently they then refurbish or use your old one for spares).

Gravatar Had the same problem- paid for onsite mtce, didnt get it, laptop took ages to be repaired- no one interested at Evesham, no updates, not escalation chain or procedure. After reading handbook it said the MD was always able to respond to emails- well I emailed him and no one bothered even to achnowledge reciept- theres a surprise, would never ever buy a evesham machine again. Now the batery charging is playing up and the screen is intermittant.

Gravatar Perhaps someone ought to check the small print and see if Evesham are misleading customers selling them onsite then never coming onsite?
I've had an Evesham notebook for 6 months and it's just had it's 4th repair! Each time I have to wait in for collection and delivery. Plus be without it for weeks on end.Emailed tons and no one cares!
I'm told they now only care about buisness customers, which seems true from my experience!

Gravatar "This service extends to field replaceable parts only (items that can reasonably be replaced on site without the use of a workshop environment). In the case of notebook computers this would typically exclude the main system board, TFT display and integral parts of the case. Peripheral and consumable items including but not limited to Printers, scanners, Keyboards, mice, Notebook batteries and Notebook Power Supply units are not covered by this contract."

Under the on site warranty part of the T+C's on evesham.com Try reading contracts before entering into them?

Gravatar why do you english whine and complain so much !!!

surely you have bigger problems ??

Gravatar glad i found this,
i was looking at an evesham and thinking of buying one,
no fecking way now!

Gravatar Now Evesham are refusing to honour any Warranties under the HCI scheme
