No, what happens is they waffle through school, never 'failing' just achieving 'deferred success', then they get a job, cannot cope, cry alot, realise they're a great big failure, get bullied, sue the firm and get awarded 800,000 smackeroos...
Succesful in their own way? Oh yeah! Those youngsters who are not clever are still succesful in areas like early smoking and drinking, drug consupmtion, bullying, vandalism, theft... There is no contradiction!
The worrying thing is that halfwit is teaching the next generation.

I work in a school, and no, I'm not a teacher and yes, I agree with the comments expressed.
What is reality in our schools is that a breed of virtually unsackable employee with the most insane sickness benefit scheme imaginable are now responsible for educating our kids.
By and large the modern teacher is a self obsessed, money grabbing, work shy itinerant job hopper, with no loyalty to anything or anyone except their bank balance.
Change must come, (from the barrel of a gun, probably) before we can ever hope to rid ourselves of the kind of limp wristed politically correct thickwits. Use your next vote wisely, people.
