Wonko`s World

Gravatar To say that The Domesday Book is Britain's finest treasure is not in any way to say that it is Br*tish. I'm delighted, but not at all surprised, that an English historical document is considered to be above anything, of any kind, that the other nations of the 'U'K have ever produced, although I would have nominated the Lindisfarne Gospels, of all our important books. The Sutton Hoo artefacts deserve mention too. Many English things are Britain's finest, not least the people, and it's pleasing to see that recognised.
