I have coined a new acronym for these death-warrant signing bean counters; NICEE. Or the National Institute for the Cynical Execution of the English.
These people have absolutely no shame and are are pursuing a relentless campaign aimed at condemning tens of thousands of English taxpayers to either premature or unnecessary death, or at best, avoidable blindness.
Contemptible.
Disgusting isn't it? The thing that really, really pisses me off about this is that English taxes pay for the same drugs in North and West Britain while most of the buggers hate us. Why should we give them all that money and then go without ourselves because there's none left?
Not entirely true. NICE's decisions apply to England and Wales, so if - and it's still if - they decide not to grant approval for these drugs, they won't be available in Wales, either. And if you're concerned about how taxpayers' money is spent, shouldn't you be pleased that NICE is assessing the value for money of different treatments?
