As long as I know e-mailing spam is illegal in Europe. Regular mailing isn't?
Royal Mail have rather scored an own goal with this one. Only by disciplining the postman has there been such a puplic outcry. Their heavy handedness has lead to such huge publicity; far more than the postman could ever have hoped for, which has lead to thousands more people now knowing what to do to stop this obscene litter mountain of unwanted junk mail.
Well done to that postman!! I guess R.M. daren't discipline him now as the press would have a field day.
Clearly junk mail isn't producing enough income to stop the Royal Mail from charge us more and more to post parcels. It's a sham and more private companies should be allowed to deliver mail because the Royal mail are simply crat at it. On another note why don't councils take this recyceling ceriously and ban junk mail as a waste of paper. They tried to stop school children from posting christmas cards to one another, as it wastes cardboard? (But it shows that people are still nice at certain times a year) Why not ban these unwanted pieces of mail.
