I never ate them till last year either & they were so delicious I am afraid to try to do them again for fear of ruining the memory. Insane! But yum.

I do enjoy Brussel sprouts, even just steamed with a bunch of other veggies is great, maybe with a sesame dressing. Very healthy. Both recipes sound delicious.
i love brussel sprouts! but i've never had chestnuts before. can you believe that?!
i had no idea brussel sprouts grew looking like that. those actually make me want to start a garden, just to see them. though i can imagine the little bunnies that frequently visit my backyard would think they're a tasty snack!

I LOVE brussel sprouts! Would you believe I've never had fresh ones, though? Only frozen...for shame. This post has inspired me to change that, though. And brussels with chestnuts? And with a creamy pasta? Sounds so delish! I wonder if they grow well here in MN? I'm gonna look into that and see if I can't plant some next year.

I absolutely love Brussell Sprouts! Especially roasted. You are making me hungry. and I agree with Ellen -- Martha you are. but much nicer.
There are carts galore here selling roasted chesnuts and roasted corn. I inhale deeply when I walk by.
