If you are still short of the maroon spindrift, my LYS has several in stock. I'd hate to see you halted in your progress. Since I don't knit fair isle, I love oogling yours.

Just doing a massive catch up of your past posts (not as good as I used to be hehe!) and saw you mention me in dispatches about giving you the push to do colour You sweetie you! No monster I assure you, it's an absolute pleasure to watch your creations grow and the speed never ceases to amaze me. Keep it up sunbeam, your blog is a treasure.

Glass Beach is beautiful. Sorry to hear that you ran out of maroon.
Can't wait to see what socks you make. (We'll get you yet, my pretty).

What a lovely yarn tour of Maine! I am noting (only noting) that you purchased a few skeins of sock yarn. That's all I'll say on the matter, just wanted to note it. Glass Beach is looking gorgeous, of course, I am particularly fond of those colour combos! Hope it was a great holiday!

Ach! You've just been in my favorite part of the world, and we blogged about the same yarn shop (Blue Hill) in the same week. Isn't she lovely? I won't see that place again until October, but really looking forward to it.... Thanks again for all your advice through Ravelry! Glad I found you blog...

I love the colours of your new fair-isle! And the pattern, it does not look too difficult to memorize while knitting on vacation but still has lots of variety to be interesting.
Welcome home!

I just stashed the yarns for the Dark Navy Nagano after staring at the pattern longingly since 1997/98. Quite an impressive list of yarn store visits. Wish my family were disappointed when I don't by any yarn. Usuallly they jump for joy at such a rare occurence.

Too bad you didn't find the maroon but it looks as if you found a few things to make up for it. Although 3 rows of lace knitting? And then you give up? lol.

Thank you, THANK YOU!! That is precisely what I needed! Due almost entirely to your 'evil' (HA) influence I got all the Starmore books. 55 was precisely what I needed for Mara & Marina for the yarn order I'm putting together! So now I know what I'm hunting for.
I'm glad you're having fun and I'm always grateful for your informative posts.

Wow, this is good to know! I go to Maine every now and then, and especially in the fall... Your husband and kids get upset when you get nothing???? I wonder how to cultivate that attitude in my house

Holy smoke. I had no idea there were SO many Maine yarn stores. Even a bad yarn store isn't THAT bad, right? I'm going to make notes for my New England trip next month. DH is going to have to amuse himself some of the time.

Love the beach knit. Sounds like you had a decient time. Sorry that the yarn stores weren't as exciting. Spunky Eclectic yarns are quite nice. What are you going to knit with it?

Woe! Had I known you were going into that store with the ancient Dale books, I would have asked you to look for Dale 110, a baby book that had a moon and stars blanket in it. That's probably the only thing that would tempt me to knit stranded.

Hey, if you bought the sock and lace yarn and don't really want to knit it, send it my way with instructions. I'm getting good in fast knitting for others and sending stuff back before the deadline. I love the lace. What did you try to cast on with it?

That handpainted sock yarn is enough to make my heart go pitter-pat.
Thoughtful of you to buy yarn to keep the family happy.

How sad is it that I recognized the Nagano booklet just from the layout, without seeing the picture big enough to actually distinguish anything? Hmmm....
