Did Zippersource save the day? I haven't ordered from them yet, but I have the site bookmarked Just In Case.

Your story made me smile...can't tell you how many times I've stood in front of the zipper and button racks, holding up a freshly-knitted sweater, freaking out because nothing matched. The jacket is lovely - looking forward to seeing the finished product all zipped up!

This sounds like a cautionary tale, despite its happy ending; no zippers for me!

No laughing here. Too busy admiring the sweater to even think of laughing.

Haven't lived that nightmare with a zipper yet, but I have plenty of similar button-related stories. Wouldn't it be great if we could just custom-make our own buttons and zippers (for free)?

It sounds as if M-O-M-M-Y needs C-O-F-F-E-E. (Sorry. I could not resist. We love Mr. Ralph to itty-bitty-bits.) Your niece will love the sweater -- what little girl wouldn't?
Enjoy Chicago -- you won't believe how insanely warm the weather has been lately.
