Gravatar Ruth, have you looked in the door? I have been known to leave the keys hanging in the lock. Seriously, go look there!

Gravatar Actually, isn't it supposed to be when you *stop* looking that you find what you need? Or else Kate is right. More than once, my dad has been known to storm around his house looking for his glasses. Which are always, of course, sitting on the bridge of his nose. Anyway, I vote for knitting on Ravenclaw. If nothing else, it will give your frazzled brain a rest, right?

Gravatar Thank god you still have the icing spatula!!!

Gravatar Ruth, we missed you today at knitting. Should we presume the next knitting session will be at yours since you may never leave the house again?

Gravatar Did you look under all the furniture? And lift up the cushions? And check coat pockets? And bribe the young'un with chocolate?

I know exactly how frustrating missing keys are. Good luck!

Gravatar I'm with Kate. Mine are usually hanging from the door.

Gravatar My husband comes home before me and I've often pulled his keys from the lock as I come in.

I vote you knit a bit. You need a break.

After you've done that. Sit down, get calm with some big breaths, and think about playing back how you came into the house as though it were a movie. Remember how you felt, what you were carrying, what the weather was like. And see if you can remember when the last time was you had those keys in your hand.
