Those are great! I love them. Nice colors and I'm sure they'll be perfect for Iowa weather. It's super cold, windy and snowy here in WI right now--blizzard-like, actually.

I'm doing the exact same mittens. I started using one of the old Fox Geese books by Robin Hansen. The directions for the decreasing were "vague". And I too have a fried brain and just wanted it all spelled out nicely for me. I decided that the choice of spending $15 for Knit Mittens was worth not getting frustrated. So mitten one done. And as soon as I stop dawdling on the internet, I'll work on mitten 2.
