I am sure that this policewoman didn't realize that she was talking to a person who was familiar with the First Amendment. It was also funny that she couldn't herself come up with the rule/law on what said demonstrating couldn't happen on the plaza at the Supreme Court. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have seen plenty of demonstrating there.

The same thing happend to me in high school about swearing in class. I asked to be shown the rule where they could limit what exact words I couldn't say and the administrator said "it's there, it's just there."

It sucks when someone in a powerful position can put an unfounded restriction out there and we have to blindly follow or risk wasting energy on something that really doesn't deserve a fight over it in the first place.
