I have NO problem with gay marriage but I DO have a problem with gays raising children. I had a baby boomer slut for a mother and no father and always had to explain that the asshole currently shaggin my mother was not my father. I can't imagine expaining that the guy cornholing my dad is not my dad either. The fundies might be right on this issue alone.
I'm sorry that you had to suffer through so much of Kurtz' writing in order to support your conclusions about him and his work. Lazy people like me just assume that there are some pretty sick egotists out there who, though their arguments against a proposed piece of social justice or antidiscrimination legislation may be total bullshit, take comfort from the fact that their insensate anger and opposition--mulitiplied by thousands or even millions--are themselves good reasons for caution in the pursuit of reform, and damn the consequences of further delay for anyone else.
