Just John's Scribblings

Gravatar How on earth are "class commanders" chosen?

We have a similar phenonomen in civillian life.

Gravatar Kris, unfortunately, they just appoint the senior Marine (time in grade) as the Class Commander by default. I think they should screen the senior most three, or four, and pick the most qualified. Silly me.

Gravatar 1. Glad that Bob had so much fun, and hope he made it home safe and sound.

2. Knew you'd have no problems with the SNCO course and, at the very least, it's good to know your ribs are healing. As for the "Class Commander"........ummm............good to know you're able to turn a negative around.

3. How nice that you're all finally not just settling into a house, but making it into your home.

4. A very happy and blessed Mother's Day to you Mrs. JJ and to all Marine and Military Mothers! May God Bless You All!

5. Doesn't sound as though much is being missed by not seeing that movie.

6. Thought you might enjoy a wee laugh:

A nun is on her way to the park, and she decides to take her sketching pencils. She cannot find her case, so she plops them into a paper bag.

Walking toward the park she sees she is passing by a major building construction project. Unfortuntely (in her view) she can hear the workers talking, and about every other word is a swear word.

She pauses, then decides to teach them something about God. She yells to the men working on the ground level of the building, "Do you men know Jesus Christ?!!"

The men shook their heads and looked at each other. One of the workers looked up into the steelworks and called, "Anybody up there know Jesus Christ?"

One of the steelworkers called back, "No we don't. Why?"

The workers yelled back, "His wife's here with his lunch!"

7. Please have a great weekend!

Gravatar Hey John, sounds busy, thats good! BTW: I liked the Kingdom too. Yep it's Hollyweird, but for some reason it was interesting and held some suspense. I think the delved into the real hot zone of American LOVE!!

Gravatar If I were in your size 9's, I'd consider taking my lovely bride and handsome children over to Sam's by the Sea for a little lunch after church on Sunday... but that's just the romantic Squid coming out.

I'm glad you're spending so much time in school and not a lot of time on the course... makes my chances of defeating you much better come summer

Gravatar Don't count on it Gawfer; I'll be hitting the course every Sunday starting next weekend.
