My condolences to you.
If as you say, all your ducks are lined up, it's just a waste of a day or two that could be better spent doing something else.
If all the ducks are NOT lined up, then the first day will seem like heaven compared to the next six or seven to come (along with the commander's comments to you personally afterwards).
But, to help smooth things along during our IG's, we always found that a pot of coffee and a box of fresh doughnuts helped a lot. (chuckle)

My husband tells me CGIs are lots of fun. Of course, he says it in that way that tells me "lots of fun" translates as "almost as bad as boot camp". Good luck with it, and please tell us if you really do get to tell an inspector they're full of crap.
Never any fun bro, and I remember them as CGI's or IG's...
Spaz time for the company commander, and 1st Sgt on the smaller unit level, made us all miserable. lol.
Been sick as a dog on a side note.

B- Thanks for the encouragement. Like I said in the post, I'm really not that worried; I think I've been doing business the right way all along, so it should only be minor torture.
Nyx- I'll let you know; I'm sure the opportunity will present itself when some self-important a$$ decides to create something from nothing...I'll give you the play by play later.
Gunz- Yup; memories don't lie. At least we'll be able to avoid the JOB and wallockers...being that we're fairly salty. Sorry to hear that you're feeling poorly; I think you should take some medicinal beer for it...
DT- I try, but I'm sure that the inspectors will uncover a few nickel and dime items...which is cool; it saves me time.
Cary- Yup. JOBs do indeed suck donkey you-know-what. Fond memories? I'm glad you feel that way; I don't!

Especially catching shipmates who decided it would be a splendid idea to 'lock their knees' whilst at Parade Rest; though that's more in line with personnel inspections.
