I went on a course quite recently, and it is amazing how different people come together, you reminded meexactly the energy of someone else who I met there. She like you liked using three dimensional objects for thought processing, you would have got on. In her case it was a metal pair of dice, each had different words scratched onto them. I particularly like the character introductions, a blend of mixed cultures and also styles, a fascinatiing piece. Reminds me of alot of being at Uni! thanks

I teach sign language to all kinds of people, and this essay was rather insightful. I often meet students who have a similar creative bent as described by Ric, and in each case it is fascinating. The most disruptive and comical student I ever knew was also the most stimulating participant. Creative personalities always have to have more than one outlet for their self expression, it is clearly hard for more limited linear types to comprehend, but as a lateral thinker I am sure Xsapph, you enjoy spurring on towards the finishing line with a flair and as a thoroughbred rather than a mule in a paddock trying to kick the back fence in whilst the door is open! More power to your pen!

Bestest regards

Your questions at the end of each of these essays are thought provoking. Very intriguing work. SOmeitimes jolting, in the startling imagery. Like the photos, all face on, adds a unique element I must say.

Hello Xsapph,

you wrote "he was emailing me his latest tactical drivers, just looking for me to be his conscience and accepting that whatever he did as his friend I would demand his path towards some nobler route to his goals. "

this is exactly how it is with me and my best friend, too!

... about that Presentation, it went appallingly like a wet firecracker that everyone knows is doomed from the start., I wanted to cry, people were dropping off and unlike yours no-one gave me a standing ovation, or did they clap, I actually thought I was having heart palpitations, one of those heart murmurs or something, then the fire instinguisher someone had placed (tactically I am certain - probably YOU!) across my path tripped me up and I spilt coffee over a senior exec. I found comfort in the fact that it was at least cold coffee!)

As is the case with most of these numerous my-life-episodes, I left as inocuous as when I arrived and quickly tried to be as inconspicious, aloof and vacant looking for several days after, in the hope they all thought I was suffering some malaise such as typhoid or bird flu and therefore could not be accountable for my presentation. Needless to say I am really looking forward to the next one... NOT!

Yours - loyally - Ric

[By the way, thanks for the 'fisherman friends' cough candy, very kind of you, I could have used that before my career-dive-into-oblivion presentation]

Ah great stuff this. Like a trapeze on fire or a window onto another world. When we see all we can without hoping to get to the end of ourselves or others. Your observations are clean. So much of a refreshing difference to the Steven King junk that my ex (cheatin') girlfriend would read to me on nights when she would bother to stay at home.
I've read and re-read a whole bunch of stuff on your interesting sites, please indulge us and give us more of your writings to keep me company on my way.
Hugh
