BTW, I don't think the multiple Iraqi insurgencies gave up on bleeding the American occupiers. They may believe that they have maneuvered the Americans into bleeding themselves financially, and will heat up the violence a bit every time the Americans try to cut costs from the current $400 million a day, $145 billion a year. Exxon, Chevron, BP, and Shell certainly won't pick up the tab.
