Oh, poor Otis. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Remy and I ran into a Great Dane at doggy school whose tail was completely docked because he kept splitting it open (it sounds very similar). On the other hand, once all was said and done, he was a very happy boy, and didn't seem to notice his difference. These kids are so special, it's so hard to see them suffering in any way.
