I wish that we had more of a chance to talk on Saturday, but I'm so glad that I got to see you! It looks like your participation as a vendor added a new level of fun (and exhaustion!) to your weekend. I hope it will get you back to the needles - your knitting is always so amazing!
Glad you had fun! Your picture of the crowds is almost identical to mine! Funny how people think alike sometime.
I waited in line for STR because I wanted to see the colors IRL so I could choose. I'm really glad I did, because the ones I came in looking for were not the ones that I liked in person. And if I can save on some shipping costs, all the better. Plus you can knit while you wait in line.

are you asking about the STR line or the t-shirt line? re: STR-- apparently people want to see the colors in person before purchasing as well as have the immediate satisfaction and lack of shipping costs.
re:t-shirts: they run out of colors/sizes pretty quickly and it USED to be that only the 'leftovers' were sold online. This year was the first year they started selling the 2008 stuff online before the festival.
Totally love the stuff you picked up, and bummed I missed you AGAIN! I was in the cloverhill booth for a while too, pawing at the a verb for keeping warm fiber!

I really prefer picking out hand-dyed yarn in person. That's why I wait in line at the Fold.
I was picking out yarn for a Chevron scarf. It would have been so much tougher to put colors together and compare in the sunlight if I was doing it online.
