It doesn't occur to them that the joke here is not on their religion but on the neurotic victimological attitude of many of its followers and their aptitude to get offended by various irrelevant nonsense, as well as their own misconceptions resulting from their failure to understand other cultures and to use a rational, logical analysis of the facts. The outrage regarding the cube-shaped Apple store in Manhattan was just one such example. There are more examples in the comments.
