Gravatar So jealous. As a fourth-gen. Californian, I love Huntington Library and went there regularly while growing up. As a lit major at UCLA I went to a lecture there and honestly felt faint when I saw the honest-to-goodness first editions. Bought Chaucerian note cards and still haven't sent them (what? almost 30 years later?!) because I love them too much. As for the grounds of the museum, I especially like the Japanese garden. And I have wonderful photos of my mother as a young teen posing on benches in the completely empty (then-mid 1940s) gardens. What a treat. I won't even get into discussing the rare books room. Bliss. Good for you!
