I had to peel my daughter off the ceiling and douse the flames of rage after she read a few American blogs last evening. "They didn't send money and help us after 9/11, so why the hell should we care about them? Let the bastards drown. There's too many of them anyway." Just one of many charming analyses she came across. I'm open to suggestions on how to answer her "What's wrong with people? Why don't they understand?" query.

Hi, you left a commment on my blog last night or today, and it said that you couldn't see my images. Can I ask you a HUGE favor? I can see all of the images just fine. Could you hop back over to my place and tell me if you still can't see them? Because if you can't see them, then I imagine others can't either. Thanks!!!

As usual, not nice, and not fair. All Americans should not be painted with the same broad brush. It's getting harder to be the underdog all the time. Soon you might find me feeling sympatheic towards France...and where would we be then??

When I looked on Nick's blog, he said that the cartoon is aimed at the way in which the media protrays large scale disasters.
Nick is American, the cartoon strip was a dig at the way in which all of us react to terrible news from other countries.

Nor was my comment meant to be a dig at all Americans, just the select few mentioned. Sorry, I forgot to add that bit at the end.
