Soul- the gloating is over folks. We let you have a little fun at our expense and now we are hitting our strides. By the time July 21 arrives we will have the upper hand and your feeble top order exposed for what they really are. Strauss- suspect against the moving ball outside off-stick. Trescothick- suspect outside off-stick full stop, no foot movement, won't last long against our class. Vaughn- suspect temperament due to pressures of Captaincy. Will NOT bat the way he did out our way a couple of years back, he had no worries then. Petersen- probably fail to make the Tests. Bell- could be a good selection. If you stick by him he might make the grade. As an Aussie i'm almost cringing when i type this.
Still be 3-1 to us mate. Sorry.

Probably right on the score, so I shall fall back on a spelling flame...Vaughan and Pietersen aren't THAT hard to spell are they?

Bah, we won't collapse like that in every match, and any one of the top five could have got the 50 extra runs on another day, they might yet win the Ashes, but it won't be a walkover.
Looking at the bloody weather at the moment it's goingto be aqua-cricket anyway, rain, rain, rain.

Sorry Bertie- i am, after all, an extremely poorly educated Aussie from outback Darwin, qualified as an electrical engineer. Speling is knot my strongast point, ok ?
Soul- England is all about rain anyway mate. Specially Manchester and the North. Depressed me greatly in my stay there- don't you feel like emigrating. We need some top class Chefs over here.

Indeed, which is why we've been basking in 80+ degree temps for the past 3 weeks with no sign of that abating

80 + degree temps ? Are you bloody sure ? For how long ? A couple of days tops before the Thunder and storms arrive. My sunny Perth Paradise sees week after week of blue skies and hot weather.

Me, I hate the heat. No one from a hot country ever builtd an empire. Okay, the MOghuls, And the Ottomans. But except for them. Give me a fine Yorkshire drizzle and a moorland environment and it's the best thing in the world.
Oh and village cricket on a proper green in front of a proper pub. George Orwell had it right.
