i have been working since i was 15 yrs old and i have NEVER used a check cashing "spot". i've had a bank account/debit card since i was like 13 anyway.
i kinda see why someone wude use one, buh my money is too valuable to be taken for granted and gobbled up by fees.
it's alot easier to walk down the street, and cash ur check than to get on the bus in the hot sun, go to a bank,etc. but for me it's about principle.
if i hav to pay out $4.50 in fees every two weeks for a yr, thats $117 after a year that im giving away just in fees!
they look u right in ur face and rob u of ur money!
shih i hate to sound racist, buh i wont patronise businesses in "da hood" unless they are owned by my people.
i say "sorry mama seun-kim u can dryclean my clothes, and fix my fried rice, buh once u move to the hood im gonna hav to stop patronising u"!! haha.
middle eastern businesses?! forget about it, i wude NEVER (if i cude help it) shop at a middle eastern owned store b/c they take their customers for granted

i cant stress the value of knowing the value of ur dollar and ur spending power.
i always try and check out my gayfriendly/minorityfriendly stores before i buy anything.
and people hav honestly said to me "how is my little $5.50 big mac and fry gonna bring this company to a hault"? and i respond, that, thats not the point, u can purchase products anywhere u'd like, so why not look for places that actually respect u and your money?
and word does travel fast, if i sent out an email tonite detailing how i had a bad experience at mcdonalds and told people to forward the email, it cude reach thousands by the morning.
and i am offended by some of the commercials on channels like bet, and tv one. i know they want to tailor their ads to the black audience, but why do all the commercials have to have lite-skinned men and sassy sisters?!
and why in the black kfc commercial is there a mum, son, daughter at the table eating fried chicken with no dad? i remember a dad in the white kfc commercial
Af, baby you ain't never lied. Some of these commercials have these subliminal connotations that irk the sh!t outta me. It's like C'mon do you think I don't see what you're insinuating? Bitches. I barely watch TVone. I love me some G.Garvin tho. That's my man!
And there hasn't been anything worth watching on BET since the ownerships changed hands. I mean at least they used to have the news with the boy Tavis Smiley and Teen Empowerment (am I dating myself?).It was still mostly a bunch of videos all day long. I think It'd be better if BET had it set up like Telemundo/ Unvision. Some Black Soap Operas, talk shows, Judge Mathis, Black cartoons on Saturday mornings. IDK maybe I'm asking too much for my Black TV station to actually entertain me.
And the internets celebrities are some fools. I posted another one of their vids about the dopeness of cereal. Cereal is pretty dope tho. Last night I had some frosted mini wheats. It really hit the spot.

well nbc owns telemundo, buh they still manage to have a nice balance of news/cultural shih/telenovelas
